A Wisconsin tow truck driver is being hailed a hero after he braved sub-zero temperatures to rescue a husband and wife following a fiery car crash. Tanner Ater was in his apartment shortly after 9:30 p.

A sheriff’s deputy arrived and the two then climbed on top of the car to pull the driver out before the engine fire reignited. The driver and passenger were transported to an area hospital for treatment as fire crews were able to extinguish the vehicle fire.
