Breyers is undoubtedly one of the most popular ice cream brands in the United States. It all started with William A. Breyer hand-cranking his first gallon of ice cream in Philadelphia in 1866.

In 2025, the brand is releasing a new Campfire Collection in partnership with Hershey’s, which includes S’mores Ice Cream, S’mores Bars, and S’mores Sandwiches, all made with real Hershey’s chocolate.

The implication being that the block of Breyers chocolate peanut butter-flavored somethingorother is of a lesser quality than the “premium ice cream” packages located in the same freezer section.
