HP only has one all-new laptop in its Omen gaming line to show off at CES 2025, but it looks like a doozy because the company claims it’s the most powerful 16-inch notebook it has ever made. The Omen Max 16 looks like HP took a standard Omen 16 (which is retaining the same design but getting refreshed with new components for 2025) and then crammed in as many high-end components as it could.

The OMEN lineup has been HP's gaming go-to for years, and it incorporates several tiers of PCs to accommodate all types of users. Last year's high-end OMEN Transcend laptops came at us with more premium features and a sleeker design than its standard OMEN siblings,

The feast for your eyes starts with its up to 16-inch 240Hz QHD (2560 x 1600) 500-nit OLED anti-glare display. Combining desktop performance and the convenient portability of a laptop, the HP Omen 16 Max can be configured with up to the latest AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 or Intel Core UItra 9 275HX CPU.

Each time CES rolls around, it's fair to say that big laptop makers like HP don't exactly hold back – this is the perfect opportunity to throw a whole heap of laptops out into the world. It can also be a little challenging to sift through for devices that haven't actually been mentioned before, which is exactly what I've been doing.
