The Moline Public Library will kick off its Wild About Reading Winter Reading Program with a Dog Man Party on Saturday, Jan.

A little boy sat on his mom’s lap as he read a book to a poodle and sounded out words during the Vancouver Community Library’s Read to the Dogs event Wednesday.

The Stockbridge Library invites reading-age children to participate in its Read to Brody Youth Literacy Program. Brody, a 5-year-old black lab, enjoys listening to stories.
