I knew I had found my favorite computer of CES 2025 early last December, long before I had a chance to see what most other PC makers were cooking up. It comes from ASUS and it’s the new Zenbook A14, a system that the company had joked about calling the Zenbook Air.

Asus’ new featherweight laptop is aiming to be the latest Windows rival to the Apple MacBook Air. The Asus Zenbook A14 is a new thin and light productivity machine announced at CES 2025 sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor for a claimed battery life of up to 32 hours and a weight of just 2.

The $1,100 Asus Zenbook A14 weighs in at 2.2 pounds and is thin enough that I fear I may snap it with my fingers. The Zenbook S 14 from 2024 clocks in at around 2.8 pounds to compare apples to apples.
