BROCKTON - Students in the beloved Brockton High School marching band are using instruments that are 20 to 30 years old, said Rebecca Desmond, director of music at Brockton Public Schools.

Black, all-boys Catholic high school in New Orleans helped kick off the weeklong celebration ahead of Super Bowl 59.

While the students are the ones leading the charge during practice, it all happens under the watchful eye of Band Director Lee Hicks.
