    A motherboard, also called mainboard, main circuit board, MB, mboard, backplane board, base board, system board, mobo, or in Apple computers logic board, is the main printed circuit board (PCB) in general-purpose computers and other expandable systems. It is typically made of fiberglass and copper. The motherboard is the central hub of a PC, to which every other main component connects, including CPUs, memory, GPUs, sound cards, expansion cards, hard disks, SSDs, optical drives, and front-panel ports.
