Nov 21, 2018 · It is my belief after fishing the Rainy River / LOW that a camera is of no value. I’ve fished there 20 years in the very late fall when the Lodges are at a shut down stage until ice season starts. I’ve also ice fished LOW 4 times and this is my thought. Don’t buy a camera just to ice fish LOW. jmo.

Oct 4, 2018 · The “spool”feature on the cable makes deploying/storing it very simple. It has a magnetic connection to power cable so it is VERY waterproof. All three units have a RCA video out port that you just need to connect a recorder of some type (they make RCA recorders or you can use a regular video camera if it accepts “video in”). Nov 9, 2011 · One of my biggest frustrations with a low end unit I have is lower light visability. For that reason I have not used a unit in rivers which is where I spend 1/2 my fishing hours. St Croix and Sippi. Ice fishing is where I would like a big improvment on visablity. Ice show here I come. would still like to get one under $300 best value for the bucks

Nov 17, 2012 · With a camera your missing out on alot. Flashers are easy to use, watch some youtube “how to” vids. Cameras are fun, but a flasher imho is much more useful. I bought my flasher 1st then a camera the following year. They work well together, but I will fish without the camera, but not without my flasher.

Aug 1, 2020 · Ice fishing I’ve had occasions where I couldn’t get marks on my flasher to bite, then I looked on camera and it was a different species than I thought so I changed tactics. Honestly though I could (and often do) easily do without it.

I leave them in the water for. Months at a time no leaks. You will not be disappointed . With a Marcum camera. I use the pan-cams too. Out in the field. Good luck!
