2 Noll 2007 · I love my NAD 525BBE. The alternative to it would have been the Cambridge Audio Azur 540 or 640. I think they are £250 and £300 at Richer Sounds. They are superb. However the Marantz CD5001 at Richer Sounds is a bargain. I mean only £120. I don't think anyone in the market for a budget CD Player would regret a NAD 525BBE or Marantz CD5001.

21 Aib 2001 · Just got the Marantz CD6006 player the other day and got it to replace and old CD player thats developed a fault. Anyway saw it will play files of a USB stick and although something I extremely rarely do stuck some tracks on a usb stick and put it in the player, but I don't seem to have any control over whats tracks played.

4 Noll 2022 · Oh very happy with the sound paired with a Marantz receiver and Audiolab power amp. And gibbsy knows his stuff he helped me in the past with hi-fi and not been wrong footed. EDIT again just seen the 6006 in some places cheaper than I got the refurbished one for as the 6007 is the new model.

27 Ean 2024 · With the 6000, I suspect the mechs are different to the modern ones as these should have a CD mech while the newer one my have either a DVD or Blu-ray mech which is common place now unless you are getting into the realms of the elite CD players as the numbers are so small and using the other drives offsets the price of the product.
