Newborn bottle nipples come in different sizes:
    • Size-one nipples have a small hole, for babies from birth to age 6 months.
    • Size-two, -three, and -four nipples have a larger hole and are great for older babies.
    • Special nipples for preemies are also available.
If you're introducing bottles to a breastfed baby, it's best to start at "level one" nipples, no matter your baby's age. These slow-flow nipples require the same effort as breastfeeding.
