  1. To use a Nintendo Switch wired controller on your PC, follow these steps:
    1. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to a USB port on your computer.
    2. Plug the USB-C part of the cable into the top of your Nintendo Switch controller.
    3. Wait for Windows to recognize it (you may hear an audio cue).
    4. If Steam is running, a blue light will appear around the Home button12.

Connect Your Switch Pro Controller to PC With a Wired Connection Plug your Pro Controller cable (or any USB-A-to-USB-C data cable, or USB-C-to-USB-C data cable if your PC has a USB-C port) into the controller. Plug the other end of the cable into your PC. That's it! The controller will be detected by Windows 10 as "Pro Controller."
